All 16 FIFA World Cup 2026 Stadiums: Capacities, Cities & Iconic Venues

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be played across 16 iconic stadiums spanning three nations — the United States, Canada, and Mexico. From the shores of the Pacific Northwest to the sun-drenched coast of Miami, here is your complete guide to every venue hosting football's greatest show.

The Eastern Region

MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey) — The Grand Final venue, capacity 82,500. Home of the NFL's Giants and Jets, it will host the most-watched sporting event in human history on July 19. Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, Massachusetts/Boston) — capacity 65,878. BMO Field (Toronto, Canada) — capacity 45,500 after tournament expansion, making it Canada's first-ever men's World Cup venue. Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Gardens, Florida) — capacity 65,326, hosting the third-place play-off on July 18. Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia) — capacity 69,796.

The Central Region

AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas/Dallas) — the largest venue of the entire tournament at 94,000 capacity. Home of the Dallas Cowboys, it is one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the world and will host several high-profile knockout matches. Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta) — capacity 75,000, hosting eight matches including a semi-final. Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City) — capacity 76,416. NRG Stadium (Houston) — capacity 72,220. Estadio Azteca (Mexico City) — capacity 87,523, becoming the first stadium in history to host three different men's World Cups (1970, 1986, 2026). The same pitch where Maradona's Hand of God happened.

The Western Region

SoFi Stadium (Inglewood/Los Angeles) — capacity 70,240, one of the most modern stadiums in North America. Levi's Stadium (Santa Clara/San Francisco Bay Area) — capacity 68,500, also hosting the 2026 Super Bowl. Lumen Field (Seattle) — capacity 68,740, with a stunning open-air design offering views of the Seattle skyline and Mount Rainier, covering 70% of seating. BC Place (Vancouver, Canada) — capacity 54,000, Canada's second World Cup venue. Estadio Akron (Zapopan/Guadalajara) — capacity 49,850. Estadio BBVA (Guadalupe/Monterrey) — Mexico's third venue.

A Tournament of Record Scale

Around 4,500 kilometres separate BC Place in Vancouver from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami — the furthest distance between any two venues in World Cup history. To minimise travel burden on teams and fans, FIFA organised the 16 stadiums into three regional clusters: West, Central, and East. The 1994 World Cup in the United States still holds the attendance record with 3.6 million fans — but that record is almost certain to be broken across three countries in 2026.
